Team Sawaya Raises more than $122,000 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
January 2014 — Fuad Sawaya surprised everyone at the Company by announcing that he had joined Team in Training and that he will be completing an Olympic Triathlon in Hawaii on March 31, 2014.
By November 2014, he had completed three Olympic Triathlons (Lavaman, Quassy and New York), numerous run races in the Tri-State area and capped the year by entering and finishing the New York Marathon.
Along the way, and through the support of family members, friends, clients and colleagues, he managed to raise more than $122,000 in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, ranking him as the top solo fund raiser for the year.
One year later, seven professionals and support team members have decided to embrace the same journey.
The Sawaya Segalas Tri Team was born.
Joining Fuad in the journey are (from top, left to right): Christi Friedman, Stefanie Zinkowicz, Maritza Llanes, Riccardo Cazzoli, Jack Eakin, Chris Sargent andSlava Leykind.
The Sawaya Segalas Tri Team is training hard and will be entering the New York Triathlon on July 19th, 2015.
Our goal as a team is to exceed the amount raised by Fuad in 2014. We have set a high bar and our fund raising target is $200,000. We have a long way to go, but we know that with your support, we can do it. These funds will allow The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s to continue funding of the breakthrough development of therapies that have already saved and continues to save thousands of lives.
As a team, we are that much stronger, but still need the might of your support.
We are jumping high at the thought of completing the challenge ahead.
Please donate now to the Sawaya Segalas Tri Team and help us all get closer to a world without blood cancers!
Thank you!
