Sawaya Segalas to Attend 2009 SEMA and AAPEX
October 28, 2009 — Sawaya Segalas & Co., LLC, a leading M&A adviser to consumer product and automotive aftermarket companies, announced today that a number of the firm’s representatives will be attending the SEMA and AAPEX trade shows in Las Vegas November 3rd through November 6th.
Over the years, Sawaya Segalas has developed an exceptional track record of advising automotive aftermarket and DIY companies. The firm’s principals were the lead advisers on the three largest single brand M&A transactions involving automotive aftermarket companies that have been completed in recent years. Sawaya Segalas was the exclusive financial adviser to Meguiar’s, Inc. in its sale to 3M on October 2, 2008. In addition, Fuad Sawaya, co-founder and managing director, advised Prestone Products in its sale to Allied Signal, as well as Armor All Products in its sale to The Clorox Corporation, both completed in the late 1990s prior to the formation of Sawaya Segalas.
Given the current and often conflicting dynamics of an economic downturn coupled with consumers owning their vehicles longer, there will likely be a pickup in aftermarket M&A activity over the next 12 to 18 months.
